Online Hearing Test

Check Your Hearing in Minutes

Wondering whether your hearing is as good as it used to be? Our free online hearing test takes just a few minutes, and you can complete it from the comfort of your own home.

Our online hearing screener isn’t a full diagnostic hearing test, but it can help you decide whether you’d benefit from a full hearing assessment with our experienced audiologist.

Before You Start Your Online Hearing Test

A few simple steps can help you get the most useful results from your online hearing test.

  • Choose a quiet environment: Find somewhere calm and free from background noise and interruptions. A quiet room will make it easier to hear the test sounds clearly.

  • Use suitable headphones: For the best results, we recommend using headphones rather than your device’s built-in speakers. Wired headphones are preferable, although wireless headphones or earphones can also be used.

  • Set a comfortable volume: Make sure the test sounds are clearly audible without being uncomfortably loud. Set the volume before you begin and avoid changing it during the test unless instructed.

  • Take your time: Make sure you’re comfortable and able to concentrate. The test only takes a few minutes, so try to complete it without distractions.

Important Information: Our online hearing test is a screening tool, not a diagnostic hearing test. It can give a useful indication of your hearing, but it cannot assess your hearing as comprehensively as a full professional hearing assessment. If you're concerned about your hearing or would like a more detailed assessment, you can book a private hearing test with Blackdown Hearing in Taunton.
